About

Imbued with his mediterranean influences of Istanbul, Aleksandir’s first releases and debut album explored laid-back house, while his breakout hit "Yamaha" (2018) hinted at a more club-ready sound and its overnight success threw him onto international stages, developing his skills as a DJ. Embracing the momentum, Aleksandir decided to found his label Artesian Sounds with fellow Turkish producer Emre Can Swim. The following years, immersing himself in the UK music scene, he enters a particularly creative period: in 2019, he releases the EP "ARS003" that drew remixes from acclaimed artists such as Tom VR. He also debutes his club night "Miks" with his childhood friend Supu. But his sophomore album "Skin" (2021) marks the pick time of this period. These projects progressively hinted at a more club-ready sound while retaining his unique sensibility for emotive and expansive soundscapes. With his singles "Momus/Sacro" and "String Game" (2023), Aleksandir continues to refine his serene, melancholic and sentimental sound, all the while sounding more unhinged and unrestrained than ever. He also evolutes towards darker sounds on his latest collaboration with Eartheater "Airborne Ashes Remix". Aleksandir has perpetuated his climb with notable performances in festivals and headline shows such as Dour Festival and Sunday Sunday (Mexico City). He continues to tour the globe with a big presence in Paris, Berlin, London. In 2024, he releases the EP "HEARTH SONGS". Crafted in ten different cities, it encapsulates the dichotomy of his nomadic lifestyle, balancing an exhilarating sense of freedom with a lack of grounding. Against a backdrop of darker themes like grief and absence, the EP’s narrative is counterbalanced by a refreshing perspective on gratefulness, solidarity and profound beauty. In 2025, Aleksandir continues to produce new music with the release of a maxi including two titles called "valentine ᯓ♡" and "angel ʕ•ᴥ• ʔ" released in February and March.
