Whirlwind of Malevolence, the second album by London-based producer, DJ, and songwriter SONIKKU chronicles an epic night out, where everything–the music, the vibes, the people–come together in the just right ways. Many of the tracks on the album, like the high-octane “Debaucherous” and the chaotic party anthem "Unhinged" are sonically akin to mid-to-late 2000s electro that influenced SONIKKU as he was discovering dance music. The record exudes a fun, humourous vibe, while at the same time honing a searing edge that cuts through the frothiness.
