Amsterdam based Niels Docter started his music career as drummer for Punk/Ska band De Hardheid. After his band split up in 2009 he started producing his own music under his Doctr alias. In the following 5 years he experimented with all kinds of different styles and genres which led to a very eclectic bunch of releases on Basserk Records, and Brooklyn Fire Records. In 2015 Niels released 3 singles on Silhouette Music, and in the same year he released his first record on Bordello A Parigi from which the song “Tropique” got a re-release as single on Music For Dreams. The following years he continued releasing music on these 3 labels and started collaborating with new labels such as Melopee and Feinstoff. Niels closed 2024 with the release of his single “Now You Can Fly” on Bordello, which received a lot of playtime at the festivals and clubs. Now, Doctr is working on new collaborations for 2025, incl. a new EP called “Training”, set to release on Polari Records end of March.
