<a href="spotify:artist:4APg0sb0hq18e3wr2pkEsV" data-name="Fragrance">Fragrance</a> is the solo project of Paris-based Matthieu Roche. Flirting between melancholic synthpop and dark dancing electronics, Matthieu’s sensual and soft vocals mix with sharp synths and catchy beats to define the sound of Fragrance. Noticed for his fruitful collaborations with artists such as <a href="spotify:artist:0e04xgVBPU6mE2QkSHlufD" data-name="Mylène Farmer">Mylène Farmer</a>, Maya Postepski, <a href="spotify:artist:5PhSiNjHZevtfAj9zmvVkU" data-name="Hante.">Hante.</a>, or <a href="spotify:artist:7a0G4CC3dZdKAAzVRnaRGu" data-name="Prayers">Prayers</a> and for his captivating live performances, alongside bands such as <a href="spotify:artist:7ovuEJn78rNJmBBnLqc1NU" data-name="Linea Aspera">Linea Aspera</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:64NhyHqRKYhV0IZylrElWu" data-name="TR/ST">TR/ST</a> or <a href="spotify:artist:2PDepyCtfybWn5UJv0DmKw" data-name="Molly Nilsson">Molly Nilsson</a>, he released his sophomore album, Salt Water, at the end of 2021. Made up of 10 songs soaked in tears and sweat, the album, co-produced with Sophia Hamadi (<a href="spotify:artist:7gmAeJQocsvgJY86vAV8d5" data-name="S DIAMAH">S DIAMAH</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:1SQ7cLxhwePL6Zxqm3ckEj" data-name="Opale">Opale</a>), emphasizes the dancing and ethereal synths that we have come to know as Fragrance.’s signature sound.
