This Halloween, Eighteenth Street Lounge transforms into a sanctuary of sound and spirit for Nightmare on Eighteenth Street: A Haunted House of Music, Ritual, and Resistance A night where community, art, and magic converge in the heart of the nation’s capital. The evening begins with a witches’ candle magick ritual led by local practitioners Emma Olmedo and Jessica Umhoefer, to shield the dancefloor as a sacred circle. Invoking protection, abundance, and safety for our community. As house and techno soundscapes guide bodies into trance and release, DMV visual artists will unveil works that confront the real nightmares of our city, offering catharsis and reflection. This is not escapism, it’s transmutation.
