Celebrating women's history month in the famous PUBLIC hotel, the brainchild of Studio 54 creator, Mr. Ian Schrager. Anna Collecta Co-Founder @hot-honey-sundays Anna Collecta is a New York City- based DJ driven by dance music. Her signature sound embraces soulful, House and Disco sure to get any dance floor going. She has been a force in the scene for the past decade. She’s a turntablist at heart and avid vinyl collector. She is a Co-founder of Brooklyn's own Hot Honey Sunday's - one of the city's most popular dance parties. She is also a long time member of Rollerwave NYC who throws some of the largest roller disco events on the East Coast. Most recently, she joined the Glitterbox and Defected Records family playing live events and online radio for Defected Broadcasting House. In New York, she has played in some of the hottest clubs such as House of Yes, Superior Ingredients and Avant Gardner. Driven by her Colombian & Spanish roots, her music sets are a mix of different genres including house, funk, latin disco, deep house & soul. Although always current with the new waves of sound, she has developed a strong passion for collecting vinyl of all sorts, giving her sets an analog sound feeling from the 80’s and 90’s. She has released mixes for Razor-n-tape & The Lot Radio, to name a few. For the past five years, Kenia has been known for producing a numerous amount of events with her music & art collective named, Alegria Community where also several songs have been released under the collective’s record label, “Alegria Records”.
