Amsterdam Techno Sessions is a weekly Techno event held every Thursday in Amsterdam. Local and international artists are invited to showcase their work and share their personal interpretations of Techno every week. A true Colombian pioneer and founder of Techsound Fest, Sonico brings decades of rave culture and heavyweight energy to the booth. Recognized as a national icon by techno pioneer The Advent, he helped establish Colombia’s presence in genres like techno, hard techno, acid, industrial, hardcore, and neo rave. Founder of Techsound and Hardcodelia Records, and organizer of major festivals like Techsound Fest, Radikal Styles, and Bogotrax, Sonico also runs the agency TUA and works with top global labels and collectives including Rave Alert, Industrial Strength, and Naked Lunch. Known for his eclectic, marathon DJ sets and genre-blending productions, he has performed alongside techno greats such as Jeff Mills, Chris Liebing, Sven Väth, Angerfist, and Ellen Allien. He was also the first Colombian to play at iconic venues and festivals like Tresor, Techno Parade, Sisyphos, and GEGEN. With global gigs spanning Europe, Asia, and the Americas, Sonico maintains a low profile but commands high respect in the scene, representing Colombia on the world’s biggest stages and continuing to inspire new generations through music, activism, and cultural impact.
