Amsterdam Techno Sessions is a weekly Techno event, held every Thursday, in Amsterdam. Every week, local and international artists are invited to showcase their work and personal definitions of Techno. This Thursday, 14th of December 2023, we are back to John Doe for our weekly Techno instalment. And for this one, we invited the Dutch DJ Sophie Bruin to headline the night. Followed by Marco Ramos. Growing up, the rhythmic beats filled her home, and even as a child, she developed a deep appreciation for the genre. Her passion for captivating records led her to start playing on a set in her home's basement at the age of sixteen. Drawn to tracks with intense energy, robust kicks, and raw basslines, she found a sense of empowerment in the music. Over time, Sophie's style evolved, embracing the emotional depth of certain tracks and the distinctive, quirky elements that made each record a unique piece of art. Describing her style as energetic, emotionally charged, and occasionally infused with a touch of eccentricity. Sophie has showcased her talent at renowned clubs and events like Mystic Garden Festival, Deviate, Geheime liefde, and Sneeuwbal Festival and Tuinfeest.
