BADTONGUE PRESENTS: MOGAN (Former City Records) A classically trained pianist hailing from France, Mogan blends jazz, funk, hip-hop, and RnB with electronic grooves, crafting tracks that shift between club heat and introspective vibes. Rooted in house, his music also ventures into breakbeat, ghetto house, and electronic jazz, always resisting rigid boundaries. His signature sound? Rich arrangements that evoke the feel of a full band, driven by deep chords and finely sculpted rhythms. His recent EP "Energies Match" released on Former City Records received world-wide acclaim. Mogan built a strong foundation behind the decks as part of the Grenoble-based collective TDN (The DARE night), before lighting up iconic venues like Le Sucre, La Machine du Moulin Rouge, Iboat, and La Belle Électrique. He's shared the stage with renowned artists such as Mall Grab, Marc Rebillet, Folamour, Soichi Terada, and Sweely. In the studio, his work has resonated with respected labels like Happiness Therapy, which released his acclaimed EP Flowers Remember, a vinyl release praised by major figures including Laurent Garnier.
