Sobre nosotros
Our current season of CDR Sessions continues with one of the UK’s most talked-about new producers and DJs, Anish Kumar. For those new to CDR Sessions, each event includes an in-depth, production-focused interview with a guest artist, exploring their career and creative process. The talk is flanked by openCDR, where producers and artists of all levels and abilities have the opportunity to play their own music on some of the best club sound systems across the UK. All genres and styles welcomed! London-based and fast-rising, Anish Kumar has built a cult following through his infectious fusion of house, disco and South Asian influences. His breakout moment came when Annie Mac named his early track "Little Miss Dynamite" the Hottest Record in the World, kicking off a journey that has since included praise from Pitchfork and NPR, collaborations with artists like Barry Can’t Swim and Baalti, and a steady flow of inventive club releases. His forthcoming multi-volume project AK Cuts distils everything he plays in his DJ sets—soul-disco exuberance, global grooves, hard techno minimalism—into a bold and meticulously crafted vision for modern dance music. Whether performing at Glastonbury, KOKO or The Lot Radio, his sets reflect a selector with broad influences, sharp instincts and a deeply personal relationship to the dancefloor. Join us for an in-depth conversation with Anish Kumar, flanked by openCDR: your chance to bring along your works-in-progress and hear them played on Corsica Studios’ world-class sound system. We keep our events as accessible as possible, but if you are able, we would appreciate your support of CDR with a donation ticket. Every contribution helps us continue creating space for producers and artists to connect, learn, and grow.
