Contratempos 4th Anniversary (Part 1)

It´s been already 4 years since this project started becoming a local reference in the DNB/Breaks & Jungle Lisbon scene and for this evening "club mode" we will offer the "usual suspects" plus 2 special guests: DELIKWE (IT) Giuseppe Rizzi from Matera, Italy but now based in Lisboa, is a very talented DJ and producer that is delivering a huge contribution to the Portuguese underground scene. Currently one of the CONTRATEMPOS CLUBBING members, his DJ sets and lives are rich journeys through ambient, dub, dubstep, breaks, jungle, drum'n'bass or even Techno. Regular presence in the Lisbon underground scene in places such as Arroz Estúdios, Passevite, Amor Records, Collect, Desterro and ZDB. LA NIÑA (ES) Motion designer and DJ, is from Badajoz, Spain and now living in Porto since 2012. Her passion for music began in her teens, with a strong focus on rap and reggae. She started playing as a hobby in 2017, but it was in 2022 that she began to dedicate more seriously into music. Her repertoire is diverse and she doesn't stick to a single genre. In her sets, she explores everything from hip-hop, funk and jazz to bass music (UKG, Breaks, Dubstep and Drum and Bass), as well as bringing in influences from world music and flamenco. Porto regular local Dj, played already in cluns such as Ferro and Era Uma Vez. AL:X Portuguese DNB legend, former member of the oldest crew COOLTRAIN, currently producing beats for artists such as Mas1a, Kjah, Lawalah, Joshua Simon and WNTALN and releasing beats on his own as Al:x (Drum and Bass), Lesma (Future Beats) and Tropical White Boy (Afrobeats and Afrohouse) and he has also been working alongside Y.L.S and Skalator in a Lisbon based DnB Label, Skalator Music, that has released artists like himself, Riot (Buraka Som Sistema) Neurotoxin, M:Pathy and Groves. Playing since 2001 across all major clubs in Portugal already shared botths with many international names such as Fabio, Grooverider, Calibre, Marky, Ed Rush and Optical, Digital, Randall, Mefjus, Goldie, Marcus Intalex, Bailey, TC, Dillinja and Lemon D. DJ KI Former Dr.Ki, Rui Sawicki started djing Jungle, Drum'n'bass, Garage, Breaks and Hip Hop beats in 2003 and the Dubstep vibes in 2006. A 100% vinyl enthusiast strongly rooted to drum'n'bass & jungle, known for the turntablism inputs on his sets such as trick mixing and scratch, his sound moods and soundscapes may vary between the Liquid Atmospheric and Techstep sub-genres passing through Old School Jump Up, Deep Rollers, Autonomic and Half-time. Founder of CONTRATEMPOS under BRK "A" LEG, throughout these years played alongside many international artists such as Fracture, Ed Rush, Hazard, Mantra, Double O, Ltj Bukem, Rockwell, Etherwood, Dope Ammo, Big Bud, General Levy, Eskmo, King Cannibal, Metrik and Spectrasoul in many known national and international venues and festivals such as Lav, Collect, Arroz Estúdios, Disaster, Ministérium, Amor Records, Faktory, Europa, Outra Cena, Sala Lisa, Miradouro de Baixo, Hard Club, Porto Rio, Ferro,Era Uma Vez, Matrix (Prague,CZ), Cross Club(Prague, CZ), Krzysztofory(Krk,Pl), Mangha(Krk, Pl), Let It Roll Polska, Ninja Tune Anniversary by Radiofonia, Jardim Sonoro, Boom, Outjazz, Musa. FRQNC Born and raised in Coimbra, Portugal now based in Lisboa, Guilherme Freire started djing in 2014. FRQNC aka "the Engineer" is known for the clean and sharp mixes that may go through Dub, Dubstep, Breaks & Jungle. Now co-hosting the CONTRATEMPOS at Collect with Dj Ki since April this year and member of the CONTRATEMPOS CLUBBING, FRQNC has been building a solid path throughout many booths across the country for several important promotors such as Mais Baixo, Konnect and Shadow Cuts. MC TOMPPA COATES(UK) Tomppa coates is a emcee originally from bristol now based is Lisbon. Influenced from a very young age by hip hop and dance culture. Tomppa was an international touring dancer. However the obsession grew from the exposure to breakdancing from the age of 10. Heavily inspired by native toungues and pushing a positive message. Freestyling is his bread and butter.
