Signal Invites welcomes Earthdog, the label and creative platform dedicated to forward-thinking electronic music that exists at the fuzzy edges of minimal dubby rumbles, dark proggy textures, and eclectic dissonant techno and house. Earth Dog Records is a Brooklyn-based independent record label founded by Jek and djfix. What began as a podcast and radio series grew into an outlet for the pair to release their own music and that of their friends and collaborators. Rooted in the psychedelic corners of house, techno, trance and breaks, the label is less concerned with genre than with a shared feeling, deep, trippy, strange and playful. Earth Dog brings together a close-knit circle of artists with a shared approach to underground dance music, while creating a home for the music that Jek and djfix have been drawn to as DJs and producers. That same ethos extends into Earth Dog’s event series, where the approach is kept simple: good music, good sound, nice lighting, thoughtful design and all of your best friends on the dancefloor.
