Ecstatic Reggae

🇬🇧 I INVITE YOU to tomorrow’s event, created with love and care by Rodrigo and me, where we’ll DANCE FREELY to the sounds of REGGAE and its subgenres (ROOTS REGGAE, DUB, DANCEHALL, ROCKSTEADY, SKA) and LISTEN to @rodrigo, who will accompany the rhythm of the songs with his cajón, which grounds us. The invitation stands!!! For more info, we’re here for you :)) From the moment Reggae entered my life, I became aware of what we can learn through other cultures. On one hand, Reggae brings LIGHTNESS through a rhythm that mirrors our resting heart rate. On the other, it calls for MOVEMENT, for the need to return to the essential—to who we are and what we feel when we step away from the city’s fast pace. Reggae grounds me, connecting me to its simplicity and wisdom. It asks me to be with myself, to FEEL the rhythm without overanalyzing it. It also asks me to reach out to others, to SMILE at them even for no apparent reason. Reggae teaches me to be AWARE of others—it exposes the pattern of greedy, materialistic leaders who tolerate only certain skin tones, who use war to achieve their dishonest goals, and who value those goals above the lives of thousands of innocent people. 🇵🇹 CONVIDO-VOS para o evento de amanhã, criado com amor e consciência por mim e pelo Rodrigo, em que vamos DANÇAR LIVREMENTE ao som do REGGAE e sub-géneros (ROOTS REGGAE, DUB, DANCEHALL, ROCKSTEADY, SKA) e OUVIR o @rodrigo que acompanhará o ritmo das músicas com o seu cajon que chama à TERRA. Fica o convite!!! Para mais info. estamos disponíveis :)) A partir do momento em que o Reggae entrou na minha vida, ganhei consciência daquilo que podemos aprender através de outras culturas. Por um lado, o Reggae traz LEVEZA através de um ritmo que se aproxima do nosso batimento cardíaco em repouso. Por outro, apela ao MOVIMENTO, à necessidade de regressarmos ao essencial, àquilo que somos e que sentimos quando saímos do ritmo acelerado da cidade. O Reggae traz-me à TERRA, à sua simplicidade e sabedoria. Pede-me para estar comigo mesma, para SENTIR o ritmo sem o racionalizar. Pede-me também para ir ter com os outros, para lhes SORRIR mesmo sem razão aparente. O reggae ensina-me a estar ATENTA aos outros - torna claro o padrão de líderes gananciosos e materialistas que apenas toleram determinados tons de pele, que usam a guerra para atingir os seus objetivos desonestos, e que os valorizam acima das vidas de milhares de inocentes.
