Lift #02: Nguyendowsxp + Callosum (In 24.2-Channel Spatial Audio)

LIFT is an event series at the Reforesters Laboratory exploring the ambient fringes of the hardcore continuum in 24.2-channel spatial audio. For this second edition we welcome nguyendowsXP, the Hanoi-born and NY-based sonic explorer and shapeshifter. nguyendowsXP is a DJ and producer who navigates music with an ear attuned to emotion, tracing the edges where softness meets intensity. Affiliated with Saigon's Nhạc Gãy collective, they're a shapeshifter behind the decks, slipping between ethereal expanses and frenetic bursts of kinetic shrapnel. Their selections and productions prioritize feelings over genre, creating deeply personal and immersive experiences. Callosum is a Brooklyn-based DJ who blends his own euphoric productions with a diverse range of club music spanning jungle, dancehall, and experimental bass music. With releases on 48k and Nostro Hood System, his sets weave ambient textures and broken drums into high-energy soundscapes that have earned him spots on Rinse FM, NTS Radio, and The Lot Radio.
