On December 12th, BASEMENT presents a special all-locals night with some of the most vital artists working in the city today. Volvox and Dominga return to the club together. Their creative partnership has brought a fresh vitality to each of their work. Each brings a storied career to the table: Volvox as one of the most important and beloved techno DJ to come out of NY in the 2010s, Dominga as the mutli-hyphenate leader of the singular Follakzoid project. But when you hear them play together, you get the feeling they’re just getting started. KYRUH and Annie Lew play a special back-to-back as well. Both artists have pursued a vision of techno that’s equal parts steely and raw. Both artists have also distinguished themselves at BASEMENT, using the club to lay down a gauntlet early in their careers. With a shared commitment to headrush power and no-BS impact, there is no way this won’t go off. x3butterfly’s emergence over the past few years is proof you really can have it all. A musical seeker with wide-ranging tastes, x3butterfly channels their tireless digging into sets that are as rigorous as they are explosive. Though a regular at STUDIO, this marks their debut at BASEMENT. Eli Escobar sets the bar for rolling, buoyant house. As one third of Tiki Disco, he’s been instrumental in some of the best parties to grace the city in recent memory. Rooted in the expressive swing on NY house, Escobar consistently finds a way to make something classic feel fresh. The same could be said for Kilopatrah Jones. A must-see artist, Jones’ soulful, jazzy side finds a perfect balance with a sassy, playful and jacking bounce. Sterling Juan Diaz and Alexis De La Rosa bring in one more b2b to round out the night. There’s a clear connection between them, both artists fuse high-energy rhythms with urgent, driving house. And both have established themselves as mainstays in the NY underground, playing regularly at many of the city’s best parties. They cannot miss. ■ No photos or videos ■ Ticket purchase does not guarantee entrance ■ No phone use on the dancefloor ■ The dance floor is for dancing, not conversation ■ No glowing/flashing clothes or items ■ Respect other people's space, no shuffling ■ Consent is mandatory ■ Zero tolerance for racism, homophobia, transphobia, sexism, ableism or any form of discrimination ■ Take care of each other, alert our staff if somebody isn't feeling well ■ Violating the house rules will result in removal PLEASE REVIEW HOUSE POLICIES AT LINK BELOW
