Markus Nikolaus, known as the voice and creative force of Lea Porcelain, now opens a new chapter with his debut solo album The Acid Kids. Written mainly within the iconic walls of Berlin’s Funkhaus, the record distills the raw intimacy of solitude, the loudness of the Porzellan Bar parties, and the beat of this city into one record. Where Lea Porcelain conjured vast, cinematic soundscapes, Nikolaus pares things back to something more direct and unguarded—songs that burn with immediacy, fragility, and fierce momentum. The Acid Kids is a reflection on youth in motion: reckless, searching, and alive. For the first time, Markus Nikolaus will present The Acid Kids in full length live at Berghain Kantine, offering an intimate yet electrifying introduction to this new body of work.
