On February 1, Mesmeric Sofia welcomes DeWalta, a true sonic trailblazer whose sound has captivated dancefloors around the world. From the revered Sunwaves Festival in Romania to S.A.S.H in Australia, and the legendary Club der Visionaere in Berlin, DeWalta’s immersive soundscapes have set the bar for forward-thinking electronic music. Now, it’s Sofia’s turn. There’s a unifying quality to DeWalta's music. As with all good artists it’s somewhat indefinable, but it exists somewhere between the rattle and tumble of organic percussion, the vibrant lashings of horns and the warm, rounded electronics. There’s no escaping the strong and determined groove that propels these tracks, but equally the playful energy and maverick charm belie DeWalta's accomplished musical career. As local support, we’re thrilled to welcome Nicooly, a skilled DJ, producer, and label owner who has made a significant impact on Bulgaria’s music scene. Known for his groove-driven productions and captivating sets, Nicooly has earned a reputation for engaging crowds wherever he performs. Now based in Sofia, he’s one of the key figures at That Divine, a respected label and promoter. To cap off the night, our resident Mizzmo will be behind the decks, bringing his signature style around midnight. Known for his deep knowledge of the underground and ability to read the room, Mizzmo’s sets always deliver that perfect balance of energy and atmosphere, making him a true crowd favorite.
