Deep Red is a dark electronic, EBM (Electronic Body Music), and goth-rock duo based in Miami, Florida, originally formed in 1996. The project consists of core members DC Astro (synthesizers and production) and Martha M. Arce (vocals and lyrics). Known for atmospheric, cinematic soundscapes and darkwave elements, Deep Red gained early recognition when their track "Holy You" appeared on Cleopatra Records' legendary The Goth Box compilation. This led to a European tour alongside the German industrial band Project Pitchfork, Coil, Bestial Mouths and Ultra Sunn. Over the decades, they have released several albums like The Awakening and Darkwaters. In recent years, they have remained active in the local and national dark music scenes, performing at events like Absolution Fest in Tampa. They also expanded their sound with new, spy-thriller-inspired EPs, releasing Cold War-themed tracks like "The Red Door" and "Atom Rot".
