About Ayanna Heaven: Ayanna is a Brooklyn-based DJ, radio host, and cultural curator whose sound draws from a global journey from 90s dancehall in Jamaica to Southern hip-hop in Atlanta and New York’s underground scene, where she studied Ethnomusicology at The New School. She hosts Sounds of Heaven on The Lot Radio and appears bi-weekly on WKCR’s Across 110th Street. Ayanna has played major NYC venues including the Museum of Modern Art, Elsewhere, Nowadays, Good Room, and Public Records, and has performed internationally in London, Kingston, Dubai, and beyond. A 2021 NYC Artist Corps Grant recipient, she founded Doing It In the Park and later launched Good Ting, celebrating Jamaican music and culture.
