Very excited to celebrate Tekunomama's first birthday with an ALL-LIVE event! Coming in Hot with a first Denver appearance of LADY STARLIGHT - LIVE SHOW [she did play Glam & Metal a decade ago, but that doesn't count ;) ]. We are also bringing TUNNEL from Minneapolis whose live performances created a lasting memory of my time in Detroit and at The Great Beyond. TROVARSI from Los Angeles will do a B2B set with local legend ALX-106 who hosts 'Freq Boutique' and 'Patched Out' events. Lastly, it would not be a live show without one of our Denver favorites SUCRO who will be direct support. Hope you will join us as we party well into the morning! LADY STARLIGHT: Fans of Lady Gaga will know Lady Starlight as the opening performer for three of GaGa’s world tours, including the acclaimed 2014 ArtRave tour. While many performers would have used this as an opportunity for personal gain alone, Lady Starlight utilized it as a chance to preach the gospel of techno to the unconverted; bringing it to a fresh audience who may not have found it otherwise. Her sets for these tours were carried out with a full hardware setup (rather than the expected laptop / turntable DJ configuration), and served as a kind of “edu-tainment” initiative when taking to the mic and bringing attention to the most fruitful branches of techno’s family tree (a who’s-who including Jeff Mills, Mike Banks, Steve Stoll, Joey Beltram and many others). In a short time, Lady Starlight has created a signature sound that hasn’t gone unnoticed: her raw, direct and hard-driving style have in fact caught the ear of Figure label boss Len Faki (on which label she has been a semi-regular since 2018), and she has also been fully integrated into the roster of other forward-thinking labels like Stroboscopic Artefacts and Benny Rodrigues’ Noventa. These releases have become favorites for luminaries in the techno DJ world, including many that inspired her to make techno in the first place. TUNNEL: American artist Tunnel (Ryan Miller) is a prolific producer and live performer, releasing work for record labels devoted to innovative techno and genre-fluid dance music - labels such as Instruments of Discipline, The Brvtalist, Gegen Records, House of Reptile, Omen, Depth Request, and his own imprint, Webuildmachines. Throughout the past 8 years, Tunnel has performed across the US, Europe, and Asia, earning a reputation as a shaman of two unique dancefloor energies - the brutal and the beautiful. Performing a kinetic blend of breaks, hard techno, cinematic sound design, and rhythmic noise, his performances balance dance-floor focused function with raw emotion and distortion-drenched intensity. Tunnel’s live performances combine hardware tools, Eurorack sound design, and rhythmic complexity to create an experience that inspires communal ritual and personal séance. SURCO: In 2021 Eric made the move to combine his love of both music production and DJing into the 'live_techno' improvised performance he does today. Each performance is improvised live as a 'moment in time' inspired by the energy of the crowd and the place. No two sets are alike, and sets are not prepared in advance. Eric has traveled the world for years being touched by rhythms and melodies from Tunisia and Morocco, to Mexico, the Caribbean, East Asia, Australia, European Techno, Salsa, reggae, and more. All of this has fused in to his passion for rhythm, beat, and groove. This gets translated to the listener through a blend of sexy, soulful, techno. It is an intangible emotional sensation that releases inhibitions and sets them free to move, groove, and express themselves on the dance floor. TROVARSI: is an LA-based music composer/producer, live electronic artist, educator, and streaming YouTube host. Over the past decade, Trovarsi has released her music on a wide variety of notable electronic music labels. Her work transcends genres, cultures, and boundaries, yet also authentically and reverentially embraces many creative traditions. With a hybrid blend of modular, analogue synthesizers, and drum machines, Trovarsi embraces Afrofuturistic electronic expression while remaining firmly planted by her musical roots. ALX-106: is the moniker of producer and synthesizer nerd, Alex Anderson. Known for his engaging live performances primarily using modular synthesizers, Anderson explores a. His productions range from deep house to downtempo and ambient and his sound is always evolving.
