Based in Lisbon since 2020, Nicolle has brought their groove train to consolidated dancefloors such as Lux Frágil, Ministerium, Pérola Negra, Those Who Dance, Incógnito, Higher Ground, Arroz Estudios, and Casa Capitão, while maintaining residencies at alternative local clubs and bars.
As a radio host, through their monthly radio show Futurista at East Side Radio, they glimpse into a more diverse future in music through guest mixes and their own, making space for dissident points of view from FLINTA* DJs.
Nicolle’s addiction to nostalgia pours onto the dancefloor, taking all dancing bodies on a trip from past to present and back — a rollercoaster of rhythm, making an ode to the origins of house music — disco’s revenge.
Stitching disco and funk-rooted rhythm through the sounds of house, electro, italo disco, and techno, their sets are shaped by soulful, bass-driven, groovy and acid energy, fearless of bringing new sounds to curious ears and eager feet.
With a background in the chaotic and alternative queer nightlife of Brazil, Nicolle has been collecting tunes over the years and started their DJ career in 2017. From being an avid radio music requester as a child to burning their own CD mixtapes, then making their way behind the booth at local clubs in the south of Brazil, Nicolle has been slow-cooking their repertoire while producing a wide range of events, dabbling in different genres to feed their appetite for diversity.
