The Groove Presents: Collective Ear W/ Jeremy Avalon

Collective Ear is a guided, communal deep-listening experience created for those who still believe in the power of hearing an album from beginning to end. Hosted by Jeremy Avalon (WERC Crew) and set inside Atlanta’s premier audiophile vinyl bar The Echo Room. This inaugural edition celebrates the 30th anniversary of R&B singer Maxwell’s debut album 'Urban Hang Suite' with an intentional format including an opening DJ set, live cultural context and storytelling, and at 9:30pm a front-to-back uninterrupted vinyl playback in the dedicated listening room. Born out of Jeremy’s decades of building community through dance events like The Groove, & High Key Disco, this series was created to restore a ritual that has largely been lost in the streaming era — the shared, focused experience of absorbing an entire body of work together in real time.
