For the February edition of Whipped, we are proud to present the Berlin-based vinyl equilibrist Olivia Mendez. She is supported by three promising local newcomers: DRAHO, Shaan and PAVI. Whipped is a hypnotic techno party where detail, texture, quality, and skill is at the center of attention. This is techno in its most intoxicating form: stripped back, relentless, and finely tuned to keep you hypnotized from the first kick to the final echo. Within the Whipped concept, we will present an international sound bringing both newer names and old legends to DAS, combined with a strong and emerging local scene, which we have experienced blossoming in the past year. 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘂𝗽 Olivia Mendez [she/her] DRAHO [he/him] PAVI [she/her] Shaan [he/him] OLIVIA MENDEZ Olivia Mendez is a vinyl-only DJ, selector, and curator whose sets weave deep, minimalistic techno. Her sound is rooted in rhythm – shaped by her early years as a percussionist and dancer, and refined through a deep immersion in London’s underground scene between 2006 and 2011. A passionate digger with a background in music journalism and event curation, Olivia approaches her sets as narrative journeys – sonorous, layered, and emotionally resonant. From Brooklyn to Kiev, she’s queered consciousness through sound, creating dancefloors that pulse with tension, release, and intent. DRAHO Based in Copenhagen, DRAHO is a resident DJ at GAG (Den Anden Side) and the founder of UNIT ZERO, a collective techno space dedicated to ritual sound and loop-driven immersion. His sound fuses rolling grooves, crisp percussion, and machine-like synth textures, unfolding through tension, release, and evolution. Each set is a focused journey — functionally immersive and deeply physical — designed to draw dancers into a shared threshold where repetition becomes transformation and sound becomes architecture. PAVI Growing up in a home full of creatives, PAVI is no stranger to expressing herself through art and sound. In recent years she’s been drawn to DJ’ing and has explored a wide variety of genres and moods. Since 2023 her sound has evolved into a tasty blend of faster paced techno, driven by percussive beats, jazzy vibes and hypnotic grooves.
