Workshop - Introduction To Flute Playing With Ivan Vendemiatti

INTRODUCTION TO FLUTE PLAYING An educative workshop and journey into the different flutes of the world, followed by a flute sound bath. Ivan introduces us to the different flutes of the world (Indian Bansuri, Brazilian Pifano, Native American Flute), journeying through melodic paths and inner landscapes. Ivan shares the history and unique musical particularities of each flute, teaching the basics of breathing, embouchure (mouth placement), fingering (finger placement), scales & movements. Flutes will be available during the workshop and can be purchased after class if wanted. IVAN VENDEMIATTI Ivan Vendemiatti is a Brazilian musician, composer, sound healer, DJ, interdisciplinary artist, flute-maker and teacher dedicated to transverse flutes. His Indian Classical, Brazilian and World music studies create a uniquely creative style of composition and improvisation, married with years of travels through which he has collected hundreds of flutes.
