Sobre nosotros
The Allah Las have always felt inseparable from their native Los Angeles—a band shaped by the desert haze, coastal curves, and faded mystique of California’s golden dream. Across their first three records, they mined the city’s lore with jangling guitars and sun-warped harmonies, becoming unlikely global ambassadors for a specific, dusty, psychedelic vision of the West Coast. But with LAHS, their fourth LP (named for a commonly misspelled version of their band name), they begin to look beyond the shoreline, turning outward with the curiosity of seasoned travelers and sonic cartographers. Recorded mostly at their own LA studio with producer Jarvis Taveniere (Woods), LAHS reflects a shift in perspective as much as it does sound. From Krautrock-inspired rhythms (“Houston,” “Electricity”) to breezy Brazilian inflections (“Prazer Em Te Conhecer”) and soft-focus disco-soul hybrids (“Roco Ono,” “Star”), the album is a sonic scrapbook stitched together from years of touring across continents. Still rooted in their signature blend of garage rock, folk-pop, and surfy psychedelia, the songs here are airier, more exploratory—less concerned with a fixed location and more driven by movement, memory, and mood. Tracks like “In the Air” and “Holding Pattern” seem to hover mid-flight, wrapped in lush harmonies and echoing guitar interplay, while lyrics gesture at dislocation and desire. The effect is both grounded and untethered, like postcards from an imagined trip or a dream you just woke from. As drummer Matt Correia puts it, LAHS is “a sort of audio postcard to anyone who wants to listen”—an album born from years on the road, stamped with strange rhythms, faraway textures, and a spirit of open-ended wanderlust that suggests the band, like their sound, is still expanding. __ ZeyZey Miami: A family-friendly cultural hub and concert venue, welcoming fans of all ages to enjoy live music, delicious food from local chefs, and a full beverage program featuring seasonal craft cocktails, natural wines, local beer, and thoughtful non-alcoholic options.
