Alan Palomo, known for years as Neon Indian, emerged in the late 2000s as a defining figure 
of chillwave with his hazy, sample-driven 
electronic pop. Neon Indian’s 2009 debut Psychic Chasms blended disco, electro, dream pop, and synth pop into a swirl that quickly captured global attention. By 2015’s Vega Intl. Night School, Palomo shifted toward funk, new wave, and reggae while maintaining his signature atmospheric yet catchy songwriting. From 2017 on, he focused on film and soundtrack work, including his short film 86’d. In 2023, he announced World of Hassle, released under his 
own name and inspired by French boogie, Italo
