Located at the border of Gard and Aveyron, on the heights of the Causse Noir plateau, HORS-SOL is an intimate, off-grid festival conceived as a temporary autonomous zone. For four days, the site becomes a suspended space where electronic and live music, visual art and collective rituals unfold in close connection with the landscape.
Far from standardized festival formats, HORS-SOL invites its community to step outside daily rhythms and social automatisms, to experience music and creation at a human scale, within a raw and preserved natural environment. The project is envisioned as a festive ground for expression and experimentation: a gentle summer interlude that is both collective and deeply personal.
In 2026, HORS-SOL deliberately remains intimate, with a limited capacity of 500 people. This choice reflects a clear commitment: to preserve the quality of encounters, the attention given to artistic expression, and the balance with the surrounding environment.
Freedom, open-mindedness and mutual respect toward one another and the nature form the essential pillars of the HORS-SOL experience. Entirely self-financed, the festival embraces a model built on independence, responsibility and shared values.
HORS-SOL carries a utopian impulse: the belief that a festival can be freely imagined and shaped as a space where visual, sonic and creative worlds are not merely presented, but genuinely nurtured. This vision is built for the community, for the artists, and for everyone who takes part in bringing the project to life.
