Your Host and Photographer Giano Currie is a Surinamese visual artist with over 15 years of commercial and fine art experience, known for bringing a unique optical flavor to his photographs. Giano's work is rooted in minimalism, blending light and darkness to guide the viewer's eye and evoke imagination. His subjects, often portrayed in high-contrast black and white or stylized monochromatic color, reflect themes of culture, contrast, and classical portraiture. Based in Miami, Giano continues to explore the interplay of light and darkness, creating photographic sculptures that reflect the city's rich cultural tapestry. (To date, Giano has captured over 1,000 guests and clients, totaling over 50,000 delivered images) Our Venue: WYN 317 Art Gallery Opened in 2013 by sisters Danelle and Michele Pino, WYN 317 is a gallery designed to spotlight Miami’s unique urban landscape by providing a local’s touch. It’s an authentic space where fresh, up-and-coming, mid-career, and established native and international artists intersect with local legends. Highlighting aesthetics ranging from the area's graffiti culture to a wide array of vibrant pop art influences, this exhibition and event venue takes pride in delivering art cultivated in Miami neighborhoods. WYN 317 provides a perspective that keeps you connected to the community. Music Curation by Duality: Duality, aka Ty Davis, is a multidisciplinary designer and DJ striving to do it all. Public Energy is his vehicle to remind others to be unapologetic about joy when expressing oneself. In an international city like Miami, with heavy Latin and European influences, where does that leave the Black dance experience? With his party series FOOTPRNT, Ty aims to unite and platform Black DJs and remind people that Black dance music is alive and well in Miami. In 2024 alone, Duality has had a stellar run, playing SXSW in Austin, Texas, performing with Footwork legend and veteran RP BOO for Miami Music Week, making his debut at TheGround for OtherWorld with LSDXOXO, and recently participating in his first festival circuit at BiG Culture & Arts Festival in Gainesville. He’s relentless in putting himself front and center in Miami’s dance scene. From Footwork, Baltimore Club, Ghetto House, and Juke, Duality is on the cutting edge of reminding party people where their music comes from.
