Babalou: Emanuele Esposito with Gabe & Jacobs

We are delighted to welcome Emanuele Esposito as the headline of our launch event 'The Great Shipwreck', which will take place at the Scotch of St. James on March 9. About our headline: Emanuele Esposito kicked off his career in Naples, his hometown, and has since dedicated himself to house music production. Throughout his extensive career, Emanuele has mingled inspirations from the past and the present in each of his projects. Not only has Emanuele produced electronic music, but he has also shown writing and mastering engineering skills, which have led some of his artworks to reach top rankings on platforms such as Beatport. Some of his most prominent tunes include 'It's Not Right' and 'The Sound of Silence' remixes, which he has both produced alongside his lifetime colleague: Gianni Romano. About the venue: Hidden in the back of an alley in St. James, a few metres from Piccadilly, the Scotch is an intimate two-storey venue open until late. Not only did this discrete location saw in the past Jimi Hendrix playing for the first time under his stage name, Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder meeting as well as the Beatles and Rolling Stones members attending the opening of this venue in 1965, but the Scotch is also today a safe bet for after parties in central London as well as a tiny setting where its basement mixes red room and disco atmospheres, all set to electronic and house music. More recently in 2017, Off-White organised an after-party at Scotch during Fashion Week, where Virgil Abloh and Peggy Gou were behind the decks.
