DJacademy

Next Thursday we are hosting our first ever DJacademy, an extension of the BYOUSB concept to build even more bridges of accessibility to the community! All skill levels are welcome; its a completely judgment free environment! Whether you're just starting, have been practicing for a bit, or have a lot of experience, this activation will be helpful for you! The timing is as follows! 6-7pm - Meet and Mingle 7-8pm - Masterclass and Discussion 8-11pm - Practice Time! There will be 15 minute slots for individual practice. We will have two stations for practicing, one with a DDJ 400 set up with a laptop, and one with an all-in-one XDJ-XZ. If you want to lock in a practice slot, DM us after you've purchased a ticket to choose your time (first come first serve). We will also have a standby system in place for people who pull up irl and don't have a slot, where if anyone who signed up isn't present for their slot, we'll pivot to the next person on standby! Tickets are sliding scale to remain accessible - please be mindful with your choices as there are limited amounts of the cheaper tickets in the interest of our project's sustainability! We will be hosting it at The Bridge, an incredible location that also prioritizes accessibility with the studio residencies they provide to local bands at an affordable rate.
