Lisboa it's Time To dance again! disco2disKo invites this week, @Antilope, @Mâhfoud & @Miro...! ❤‍🔥🤩✨ 🫧 LINE UP 🫧 🪩 ANTILOPE [LISBOA] Always fascinated by electronic music, Antilope, whose real name is Balthazar Pinto, grew up in the 80s, in an era where music was synonymous with freedom and escape. Inspired from an early age by the captivating and mysterious worlds of fantasy, science fiction and cinema, artists such as Giorgio Moroder, Vangelis and Brian Eno awakened in him the soul of an artist-composer. It was by discovering the electronic vibrations of clubs in the early 90s that he felt the desire to broaden his musical spectrum and move towards eclectic sounds, merging different styles such as house, techno, trance, disco or even balearic.... Quickly, his musical singularity unfolds, highlighting a timelessness through the vinyls unearthed and collected over three decades. Each of his sets takes us on a journey into a parallel universe, where the border between reality and imagination blurs and where genres are mixed and approaches varied. A music lover and alchemist of sounds, Antilope is a storyteller of stories through which eras merge and where the cinematographic world emerges, with the sole aim of thrilling while captivating his audience. The archives of his past from the 80's and 90's mix with contemporary compositions and the result is a unique musical identity where each piece is selected with parsimony and where each transition is carefully thought out in order to reveal an authentic and timeless sound journey. Throughout his career, Antilope has distinguished himself as a resident DJ at the legendary Dirty Dancing and Mirage evenings, but also at Paradise City and Wecandance, two well-known festivals in Belgium and more widely in Europe. Event curator and co-producer of Astradanza evenings in Portugal, he was also co-founder of the Record Store Sono Ventura in Brussels. A little more every day, Antilope ensures that his musical passion continues to develop and expand towards new modern and futuristic horizons and it is in Lisbon that he decides to settle down to discover new adventures. 🪩 MÂHFOUD [LISBOA] Paint the colour of music on the sheet of silence. It is not what you hear but what remains hidden. Marc Mâhfoud is a vocalist, lyricist, multi-instrumentalist, composer, singer, international live act , DJ and producer. In 1992, Marc's parents migrated from Syria to Germany, where he spent most of his childhood and youth. Whilst visiting high school, Marc deepened his interest and education in classical guitar. After graduating from Bonn in 2009, he moved to the Netherlands to study Social Sciences at Maastricht University. This enabled Marc to couple his continually intensifying passion for art and music with multidimensional perspectives. Marc musically meanders between electronic, cinematic, (pitched down) dance music, soundscape and jazz. He plays piano, synthesizers, guitars and other instruments that create sonic vibration. His recent collaborations with Yamaha Music prove a rare musical versatility, both as composer and instrumentalist. Marc released on top labels such as Diynamic Music and Get Physical. His latest development attempts to liaise (social) science and sound into an honest fusion of traditional instruments and electronically driven compositions. Even though his idea of sound is perpetually changing, he safeguards the impulse of constant reinvention and critical thinking. For that life is a journey and every encounter a new paradise. 🪩 MIRO [LISBOA] Miro (Amir Mortazavi) was raised in San Francisco on the eclectic rave sounds of the 1990s house and tribal outdoor gatherings. He is passionate about those blissful, laid-back Balearic rhythms that transport you to a tropical paradise by day. And when the sun goes down, he unleashes a kaleidoscope of diverse electronic sounds. With a record collection that stretches back to the birth of electronic music, his eclectic sets showcase music across genres and time periods. A resident of Astradanza and Stories, he has played globally alongside artists such as Superpitcher, Acid Pauli, DJ Tennis, Carlita, Michael Mayer, Mira,and Polo & Pan. He currently resides in Lisbon.
