On Saturday, May 17th, from 10 PM, the halls of Palácio do Grilo in Lisbon will come alive with magic, performances, music, and pure extravaganza — featuring a special set by the “Italian Disco Daddy” himself, Protopapa, from Milano (IT) — VENGA-VENGA is the Brazilian duo of Ricardo Don and Denny Azevedo, based in Lisbon. DJs, producers, and performers, they’ve been active for 12 years across festivals and clubs in Brazil and Europe. Blending house, italo disco, tropical sounds and Brazilian music, their shows mix art and performance into high-energy dancefloor experiences. Creators of BLOCU and Gala Cricri, they are key figures in Lisbon’s cultural scene. ________ Protopapa is an essential DJ in Milan’s electronic music scene, known for his unique style that blends various genres to create intense and immersive atmospheres. With roots in the underground, he quickly gained recognition warming up for artists like Azari & III, Nicolas Jaar, and Miss Kittin. Active in the fashion and queer scenes, Protopapa collaborates with brands like Dolce & Gabbana and Armani, curating soundtracks for Milan Fashion Week and other high-fashion events. In addition to music, he serves as a musical consultant for videos, ads, and exclusive parties, including for Twitter and MTV.
