ReSolute x OOZE with Akua, Ciel, Miley Serious & x3butterfly

ReSolute x OOZE returns with a unique lineup somewhere in Brooklyn. Akua is a Ghanian-American artist based in Brooklyn. Her practice as a DJ and producer has developed throughout the years to uniquely encompass her passion for music - not only as an apparatus for dance, but one of self discovery, community building, & unrestricted knowledge. Drawing influence from the kinetic freedom of 90s midwest techno, the unifying velocity of dancing, & the frenetic pace of life, Akua has since helped redefine the techno sounds emerging from NYC through the multitude of her evocative, mind bending sets & exuberant mixing techniques. Ciel is a Xi'an-born and Toronto-based producer, pianist, and DJ. Her technical finesse and omnivorous tastes as a DJ at the fringe of cutting-edge club culture has been shown off in some of the world’s best venues. Simultaneously, her reputation has been bolstered by a single-minded resolve to bettering her adopted home of Toronto. Add an armful of popular, sparky dancefloor hits as a producer, and this triple threat has made Ciel one of the most hotly-tipped and, crucially, deeply respected breakouts of recent years. Parisian & New York City based DJ, label owner of 99CTS RECORDS, Miley Serious was born from the link between her two worlds : electronic & the punk scene. Between these two cities, she sets the foundation of 99CTS RECORDS her tape & zine label, but it’s in Paris that she will host her monthly show on Rinse France, using this platform to bring light on some of her favorite underground artists and scenes from around the world. x3butterfly’s sets retain a raw and ominous quality, with a club twist. Prioritizing the eclectic, they often aim to take listeners on a story-telling journey while simultaneously keeping them on the dance floor. Heavily influenced by innovators such as Throbbing Gristle and Floorplan, their productions encapsulated sounds that were inspired by the UK and Detroit, and were complimented with live spoken word.
