Formerly known as Henry Avery, the classes are managed by Guilherme, rentals and surf gatherings at their casa reîa beach centre. @guilhermesaca @rove.lisboa @rove.surf https://www.rovelisboa.com * / THE JOURNEY Session 1: Rediscovering Play A 2-part journey, we start with a surf class with Guilherme, diving into the waves and into play. With the ocean as our playground, we reconnect to our inner child, catch our first waves and surrender to the rhythm of the ocean, letting go of inhibitions and embracing the freedom of movement. We then gather on the beach to share our stories and experiences of rediscovering playfulness through surfing, closing with a meditation guided by Claudia. Session 2: Confronting Fear A 3-part journey, we start with a pre-surf breathwork to help find focus, clarity, and relaxation. Through intentional breath patterns we calm our minds, centre ourselves, and connect to the present moment. This practice will not only enhance our surfing experience but also allow us to confront any fears or anxieties we may have. We then venture into the ocean accompanied by Guilherme, who will teach us to navigate the waves, honing our skills and building confidence in the ocean. We finally close with a guided meditation to the sounds of crashing waves, focusing on embracing courage, conquering fears, tapping into our inner strength and resilience, and harnessing the transformative energy of the ocean. Session 3: Reconnecting to Nature In this session we dive deeper into the transformative connection between surf, nature, and our inner child. We begin with an invigorating surf session, riding the waves and immersing ourselves in the energy of the ocean. Surf becomes a conduit for reconnecting to the joy, freedom, and playfulness of our inner child. We then transition into a workshop designed to deepen our connection to nature and tap into our inner child, exploring the ways in which nature can inspire and nurture our playful spirit. The workshop acts as a catalyst for self-reflection, helping us rediscover the beauty and wonder of the natural world. The surf and the workshop become gateways to unlocking the playful, adventurous, and authentic parts of ourselves that may have been forgotten or suppressed. Session 4: Embracing Playfulness Our final session is a transformative journey embracing playfulness through surfing, ending with a relaxing workshop. This session is dedicated to celebrating the lightness, spontaneity, and wonder that play brings into our lives. We start with a delightful surf session, riding the waves with a sense of childlike enthusiasm and freedom. We then transition into a workshop designed to further cultivate and embrace playfulness. Through gentle practices and a guided meditation, we explore ways to infuse playfulness into our daily lives. We discover the power of laughter, spontaneity, and creativity, and reconnect to authenticity and childlike, innocent joy. This workshop provides a space for self-expression, sharing, and support as we encourage one another to embrace playfulness as an integral part of our lives.
