Toi Toi presents Mark Ambrose & Gabriel Rai

In a world where rotating the same DJ names is a thing, one nearly tends to forget how many of those carved the way before us. And as I always say: we need to know where we are coming from to know where we going. Needless to say at this event Gabriel Rai represents where we are going and on the "where we are coming from" aspect, It is with a huge honour I welcome Mark Ambrose to grace the decks of our dear local, Lion & Lamb for a Toi Toi Event. As I have done in the past with Mr. G, Steve O’Sullivan, Cab Drivers, The Persuader and many others, I was looking at my records and wondering where these artists were, I would then find them and reintroduce them to the scene by having them play. I would like to do it again here for this night. Mark Ambrose represents an array of productions from the late 90s and early 2000s, productions by which are being played extensively throughout decades by the likes of Raresh, Rhadoo, Ricardo Villalobos and many many others. Mark started his own label Crayon Records in 1997. He is also known under the name Skymaster... a more heavier Techno style project. Start digging and you will be gobsmacked with what you will find.
