Aside

À propos

Portuguese melodic Punk Rock band from Lisbon, Portugal. Created by vocalist David Arroz, guitarists Daniel Dias and Ricardo Cabrita, drummer Hugo Pardal and bassist André Meleiro. The Portuguese quintet first appeared in 2000 with the EP, "60 Seconds Make a Minute", followed by Aside’s debut full-length, "Good Enough For Someone Else", issued in 2001. After an extensive period of touring in Canada, Europe and featured in several compilations, the band returned in 2006 with "We Are Frequency", their second full-length produced by Pelle Saether (No Fun At All, The Hives, Bombshell Rocks) at the Underground Studios in Sweden and mastered by Peter in de Betou (Millencolin, Rammstein, in Flames), with Daniel Neto on the bass. More touring followed opening for bands such as Boys Sets Fire, Strike Anywhere, Mad Caddies, Strung Out and others. The following year the band parted ways, with a comeback in 2015 for two final shows in Portugal marking their official farewell. Aside was an exceptional live act, with an addictive energy. Their style and records will remain as ground breaking for portuguese rock music history.
