In early 2015, Guru Pope began riding riddims with his saxophone, first in Mexico with the reggae band Tleyana Sound and during sessions with various local crews (Bass Revelation, Black Fury of Dub, etc.), and later in Poland, where he regularly performed with Jah Love Sound System in clubs and squats around Warsaw. In 2016, he joined the European tour of Mexican Stepper and Djiman, playing 20 gigs across several countries and festivals. He then settled in France, where he has collaborated with numerous artists and sound systems (Blackboard Jungle, Zulu Vibes, Culture Dub, Mexican Stepper, Wicked & Bonny, Chouette Records, Echotronix, Footprint System, Indy Boca, Mr Zebre, HFD Records, Mahom, Moa Anbessa, and many more). Grateful for the opportunity to share good vibes and build strong connections with follow artists through music, he has contributed to over 80 digital and vinyl releases so far — and he's ready to take you on a deep journey with his sax lines drenched in reverb and delay!
