DJ Shirl LeGion is a Mexican American Miami based DJ, event organizer and a central figure in the South Florida goth and industrial underground. Born in LA and rooted in Miami, she has played a key role in shaping and growing the region’s goth community. In love with goth since 1984, she helped lead South Florida’s goth revival after covid, becoming the driving force behind Legion Events Miami, Malicia Goth Nights, For Goths by Goths, South Florida’s annual World Goth Day Celebration, and serving as event organizer for Hexed Miami. A resident at Malicia Goth Nights and Night Shift, she plays across the full spectrum of goth and its sub genres, leaning into newer music while weaving in select sounds from the crypt. A true music lover who likes to stay one step ahead, she highlights rising artists and pulls listeners into a journey meant to unfold track by track. Over cyberspace airwaves, Shirl hosts Sound Bite Radio, Sinister Miami on Jolt Radio and Shadowplay Radio German Edition on Schwarze Welle, where she continues to spotlight emerging talent and expand the reach of the dark alternative sound.
