Hyperstellar
Hyperstellar is the alias of Ruben Benabou. Music composer, producer and performer from Paris, France.
Hyperstellar's melancholic music wears the glow of half-drawn stars. Spirals fainting in the unknown, missives forever dissolved, opposite rays of light, liminal dreamfears and numbers with nonsensical patterns. Drawing from early electronic pioneers, New Wave romanticism, ambient solitude, techno, and a lifelong dialogue with classical and jazz music, Hyperstellar weaves a deeply personal musical world — contemplative, sad or radical, and always suspended in time. First noticed in the late 2010s by Detroit legend Gerald Donald (Drexciya, Dopplereffekt) for his use of mathematical forms in sound, Hyperstellar went on to collaborate with Donald on the cryptic project Daughter Produkt. Later on, Hyperstellar released his first original works on DJ Hell's International Deejay Gigolo Records with the stellar-threatening Polaris EP, The Hacker's Zone Records and more recently with the romantic Message To Nowhere and In For a Flash on Bordello a Parigi. Now a composer for Hans Zimmer's Bleeding Fingers Music, Hyperstellar’s work expands from club aesthetics to scoring, merging avant-garde electronica with cinematic intention. Hyperstellar is also a trusted composer for filmmakers, fashion houses, and contemporary artists, with his music featured in worldwide campaigns, exhibitions, and international publications
