Portuguese-born and raised, Rita Rink discovered her passion for music at an early age, beginning her journey with the violin at just five years old alongside her father. That early connection evolved into a lifelong exploration of sound and a distinctive artistic identity. A self-taught DJ known for her unique approach to mixing, Rita gained wider recognition after winning the 2004 Heineken Thirst Deejay Contest—a defining moment that launched her into Portugal’s underground scene and soon led her to international stages. Her sets move fluidly from organic, warm and melodic sounds to the deeper, more powerful energy of techno. Guided by the atmosphere of each moment, Rita combines musical depth and technical precision with a natural ability to connect with the dance floor. Throughout her career, she has performed at a wide range of venues and festivals. In 2012, she was appointed UAE Ambassador for PUMA Middle East, further reflecting her influence as both an artist and cultural figure.
