With a career spanning decades, she’s captivated audiences worldwide with her deep connection to Cuban music, blending Nueva Trova, jazz, and soul. Xiomara is also a founding member of the acclaimed band Yerba Buena, adding to her rich musical legacy. Her son, Axel Tosca, is a virtuoso pianist who masterfully blends Afro-Cuban rhythms with jazz, funk, and experimental sounds. As a prominent figure in New York’s Latin jazz scene, Axel has made waves both as a solo artist and a key member of the band (U)nity.
