Xinobi is a Portuguese musician, DJ, and producer whose work moves fluidly between electronic music, indie, and the raw energy of punk and hardcore. A co-founder of Discotexas / DTX with Moullinex in the mid-2000s, he has spent years building a distinctive sound rooted in curiosity, experimentation, and emotional depth. He has released three albums alongside numerous EPs, singles, remixes, and film soundtracks, with music appearing on labels including Anjunadeep, Cercle, Moblack, Armada, Deutsche Grammophon, TAU, Watergate, and his own imprint, On The Quiet Records, which he launched in 2024.

Collaboration is central to Xinobi’s creative world, with credits alongside artists such as WhoMadeWho, Rampa, Joris Voorn, Adana Twins, Jan Blomqvist, Rodriguez Jr., Acid Pauli, and Moullinex. On rare occasions, he steps away from the decks to perform live with his band, creating a more immersive and spontaneous musical experience. Influenced as much by punk’s ethos as by electronic music, Xinobi approaches his craft as a self-described “skeptical utopian”—always searching for new possibilities while remaining grounded in the simple belief that music should move people.
