BAHIANO

About

Originally from Salvador da Bahia and based in Switzerland, BAHIANO brings the sounds of Brazil’s underground to dancefloors around the world. Rooted in Brazilian funk, his sets move through bruxaria, mandelão, automotivo and the heavy rhythms of pagodão da Bahia. With shows across Brazil and Europe, including appearances at Submundo 808 and Openair Frauenfeld, BAHIANO has taken his sound from intimate clubs to major festival stages. Wherever he plays, the connection to his roots stays at the centre: Brazilian music, delivered with personality and respect for the communities behind it. His sets bring together distorted bass, restless percussion and unexpected turns, connecting different corners of Brazil’s club culture. From Salvador to the world, BAHIANO keeps pushing those sounds further.
