Thibault Gomez

Sobre

Thibault Gomez lives in Paris and finds his raw material in the subtle sounds that surround us. A pianist, improviser, and composer, he transforms birdsong and the rustling of leaves into music, highlighting those tiny details that we hardly hear anymore, but which shape our relationship with sound. One can imagine him in a dimly lit corner, surrounded by keyboards and magnetic tapes, playing with chance and memory. Each note invites attentive listening—a leap into a universe where nature and machine meet and dance in secret, where spontaneity dialogues with precision. Playful and contemplative, his music flows fluidly between jazz, experimentation, and electronica, exploring the boundaries between composition and improvisation. His latest album, Birds are also afraid of heights, is a gentle and hypnotic journey—a sonic stroll between dreams, nature, and contemporary instruments, seeking to capture those rare moments when time seems to slow down.
