ARTIST Nik Toroki is the solo producer and founding force behind the Toroki project. He crafts powerful and versatile Dub music in his studio, reflecting his deep respect for Reggae’s rich tradition and a constant drive to push its boundaries, fusing vintage sounds with modern techniques. Over the past few years, he has toured extensively, bringing his unique sound to a constantly growing community of listeners. Toroki collaborates with a range of MCs and artists both on stage and in the studio. He has worked with Isayah, PiyaZawa, I-Tist, Exile di Brave, Ical Ises, Indra MC, Dantey, and many more, and continues to explore new creative partnerships. He released his music himself on Stepwise Records, and other productions have been released on New Flower Records, Wandem Records, Jah Chalice Records, and others. SOUND SYSTEM Toroki is a dub and reggae Sound System based in Munich and Strasbourg. The crew, consisting of producer, selector, and operator Nik Toroki, manager and promoter MelieMel, and visual artist and technician Max, stands for progressive dub music and love for Reggae music culture. With custom-built speakers, the Toroki Sound System is engineered to deliver music in its rawest form. Whether in underground venues, open-air sessions, or self-curated events, Toroki is always pushing the boundaries of what a Sound System can deliver and the energy it can channel, unifying people in the dance. The Toroki crew works together to ensure every session and performance is executed with intention. Running a Sound System is a collective effort, and their combined contributions form the foundation of everything Toroki does—whether they’re behind the decks or supporting the operation from other essential roles.
