Andy Germ is a Washington D.C.–based DJ and house music producer whose artistic identity is rooted in the diverse musical experiences of his Virginia upbringing. Beginning his musical journey at a young age, Andy developed a strong foundation as a percussionist, performing in a wide array of ensembles and styles. From traditional Celtic music to the intensity of American death metal, these early experiences gave him an unusually broad rhythmic toolkit and a deep appreciation for musical expression through movement and energy. His transition into electronic music came naturally. When Andy discovered techno and house, he found a space where rhythm could be both foundational and exploratory—a place where he could merge the discipline of percussion with the atmospheric and emotional qualities of electronic production. This intersection quickly became his creative home. In both his studio work and live sets, Andy places drums at the center, using them not just as a backbone but as a narrative force.
