Nilusi is a French-Sri Lankan artist who tells stories through music and strong visuals. She walks her own path fully independent, with her own label and production company, giving her the freedom to shape every part of her vision. Her debut solo album Lettre à l’Univers blends soul, R&B, jazz, pop, and traditional South Asian melodies. It was spotlighted by Timbaland and Kehlani. Entirely self-produced, the album explores themes of healing and identity. Extending this work into a live project, Nilusi created Lettre à l’Univers (Live). Nilusi presents her album in a new dimension accompanied by her full band and surrounded by a gospel choir, for an authentic and immersive live experience. As a songwriter, she’s written for artists such as Ayra Starr, Yseult, Anitta, Banks, and Pabllo Vittar, and co-wrote the song Alibi, a global success. Beyond music, Nilusi is currently directing, writing, producing, and starring in her first feature film, NARA, shot in Sri Lanka. She is also featured in the last Vogue India issue, celebrating South Asian artists shaping the future of sound. With her ability to seamlessly blend music, film, and storytelling, Nilusi is undoubtedly an artist to watch.
