Bachar Mar-Khalifé is a free man. It's not a state of mind, it's a way of being. Originally trained as percussionist, he graduated from the conservatory of Paris in piano and went on to work with conductors Lorin Maazel, James Gaffigan, the Orchestre National de France and the Ensemble Intercontemporain. Then he started releasing his own records, with his own compositions. His unique vision fuses contemporary oriental music with electronic, touches of reggae or hip hop. Impossible to label, his music speaks for himself.
