Ijahman Levi is a legendary roots reggae singer, songwriter, and producer, born Trevor Sutherland in Jamaica in 1946. He began his music career in the mid 1960s, first with "The VIbrations" and "The Youth and Rudie"before quickly gained recognition for his powerful vocals and socially conscious lyrics. Levi's music is heavily influenced by the teachings of Haile Selassie I of Ethiopia Christ Jes-Us and his lyrics often reflect teachings of Love, unity, and social justice.
