Sobre

Capturing the essence of the character and the music of Nathalie Duchene is like considering the dichotomy which opposes day and night, the moon to the sun. She draws her inspiration from Belgian electro by Soulwax, the house/French Touch of Stardust, and the visionary techno of Kraftwerk. Her unique style, born from this fusion of influences, makes her a prominent figure in today’s electronic scene. Nathalie Duchene grew up in Belgium and moved to Paris at the age of 18. Soon after her arrival, she studied dramatic arts and explored the world of music journalism. Covering concerts and festivals, she interviewed leading figures in the French electronic scene, including Brodinski, Yuksek, The Shoes, La Femme… Over time, Nathalie Duchene found herself behind the decks. She performed at events for luxury brands like Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Dior and legendary clubs such as the Rex (Paris), Bikini (Toulouse), Electric Park Festival (Paris), Hï (Ibiza), Nitsa (Barcelona), Audio (Genève), Château de Versailles (Versailles Electro). Her career soon took her worldwide, from Paris to Tokyo, with her techno project Jane Oak, signed on labels like Off Recordings, Caduceus Records, and Flash Recordings, as well as her other music project O.N.O on Exploited Records. Yet, the idea of creating brighter music lingered in her mind. In March 2022, Nathalie released her debut solo EP Praia on Toy Tonics. Remixes by Yuksek and Boombass (Cassius) helped complete the duality which defines Nathalie Duchene. In 2023, she released her single Don’t Go on Boston Bun’s Circa’99 label, taking inspiration from Daft Punk’s raw filtered synth sounds and dropping them over thumping house drums with a belting female vocal deep in the mix. It’s a brightly colored, peak-time track. Alongside this, her passion for the French Touch movement inspired her to create the Face to Face parties, where she played B2B with artists who shaped and championed this cherished genre. Guests included Busy P (Pedro Winter), Breakbot & Irfane, Etienne de Crécy, Bob Sinclar, DJ Falcon… In September 2024, she performed at the Paris 2024 Paralympics Closing Ceremony and announced the release of a new track, Puppy, with Australian label Club Sweat on September 13th. On July 11th, 2025, she announced the release of We Are Youth, an exciting collaboration with DJ and producer Radio Slave, as well as a remix for Cassimm released on the Rekids label. In November 2025, she released the track Bass for Love on the Canadian label Kookoo Records, featuring a remix by You Man. In February 2026, she announced the release of Guess What, a remix for the French band Synapson, followed by the highly anticipated remix of Undone by New York artist Alex Frankel (Holy Ghost!) in March 2026.
